No 26. The label of Capitol LCT 6106 shows the LP title is 'Songs For Swingin' Lovers!'.

No 29. The label of Philips BBE 12035 shows the EP title is 'Take It, Satch!'. The artist is 'Louis Armstrong and His All Stars'.

In answer to the three previous questions, I believe these LPs and EP were in the chart because of their sales figures being up there with singles. Initially it was a record chart as opposed to merely a singles chart. Separate LP and EP charts came later.

There were no separate EP (see #29) nor LP charts in 1956, in either Record Mirror or the NME, which were the only two papers doing charts then.
Most of Sinatra's 1956 LP's got into the singles chart-I think the first official LP chart was in 1958 & number 1 was The Sound Of Music (Broadway Cast).

as this was the only source of info at that time they possibly didn't record what singles would have filled the bottom positions, thats all I can think of. Not much help I know but wouldn't you think they would have someone checking in and adding info to the discussions, Questions are asked but never see any answers!

Now that the occ have opened the archive to the complete British singles charts.
Can someone tell me why two LP's (pos #26 & #27) feature in this week's chart?
Thanks in advance for any info.
