From what I can see, only one approval of the new layout. We are invited to leave comments but as per usual, don't expect any response. Only one comment in this list is from OCC and doesn't directly reply to any comment posted, The new layout is not good!
itsnoodleszn_
we can respond to comments now, and you shouldn’t really expect occ to reply to anything bc their job in regards to the comments is to moderate them in case of anything offensive. sometimes they may respond (they did so to a user on the christmas charts last year) but it’s rare.

Not liking the new layout at all.
Pink for a none mover, Pink if it's climbing, Blue if a song is falling? What the ?
Can I suggest Gold - new entry, Green - climbing, Red - falling, Black - None mover
This would make it much clearer as to how a song is performing.
Also why the massive font?
D
DJRMewzique
Wow...the new design of the chart is absolutely horrifying. How did this test positive? All the most important things, like last week's position and weeks on chart, are not nearly as apparent....this looks like a huge step back rather than a step forward.
TheSuperSpinD
Just realised tho that the missing six months of the rock & metal singles charts from 2005 have finally been added... thank you guys for that at the least, that is awesome to finally see
TheSuperSpinD
My god what the happened, this site was fine before but now it looks nearly as much of an eyesore as the Billboard site
Why do designers always feel the need to make things worse

Heyy! What's up mates! This is all brand new, love the new design and the colours but its hard to get familiar with it so far. Hope you all be fine.
Celebrating a 3rd week of Kylie inside the top ten!
R
Ramraider1
Great to see Rema and Ezra plummeting this week.
Also positive is the return of the Stephen Sanchez single Until I Loved You.
Love the acoustic version of Tattoo - superior to the dance version.
Now some of the disappointments : Styles still in the top 10 (although I loved the track last year).
Niall’s Meltdown never taking off , Waffle house remaining static , America has a problem disappearing far too soon, Padam Padam on the descent and the top 4 polluting the chart’s apex. We need some new blood in the top 5 urgently.
JdAqua
i like how we can check old chart histories for other charts now and the design is AWESOME, also getting to comment on NMF is cool, however just fix replying to make this AMAZING!

What the heck has happened with this site?
Looks absolutely horrible and clunky. Does each chart position really need to be twice the size it was before?
Old one was much, much better

There seems to be a trend in recent website redesigns where they make everything HUGE, which drives me mad. The same thing happened in Spotify. The only way I can find around it is to set the browser to about 70%, then it's actually usable.

I really don't like the format of the UK chart listings. What was wrong with the way it was before, it was far more intuitive. Thanks for listing the Billboard charts, which are listed much more clearly shown. Please adopt that format to the UK listings.

Have we been noticing certain inaccuracies recently...?
Godzilla1995 spotted that I'm Still Standing shows a peak of #34, whereas it made #4 in 1983. (I, too, am that old. LOL) Similarly, Everybody Wants To Rule The World made #2 in 1985, but its recent run shows it as peaking at #86, which is nonsense. Seems like OCC can't handle certain decades-old hits that resurface after years out of the chart. (... Running Up That Hill didn't seem to confuse them.)
But have a look at #77..... the eternal Mr Brightside had cracked 365 weeks (not days) in the chart last week, but now suddenly it's showing as ***713*** weeks - where did that magically spring from??
The problem with factual errors from a "trusted source" means that the entire chart is now devalued. :D
K
karlmacnaughton
It might be because they missed out the apostrophe in 'I'm' so it won't relate to the original release. The same thing happened with Tina Turner recently; they listed it as "Simply The Best", when it's simply: "The Best". That one's a right howler! They quite often miss featured artists off too, especially on the older charts.
That theory doesn't explain the Tears for Fears thing though so who knows!
K
karlmacnaughton
I've never forgiven them for driving chartstats.com out of action with a cease and dessist order. That site was a true source of accurate information in a way that this one doesn't even aspire to be :-/

@Adit 1966, I'm a collector too, I gave up when tracks got to No.1 on downloads only, but recently started to collect again, and have been filling the gaps as best I can. If I couldn't find a physical single, I bought the 'Now' albums or the artists own albums as a substitute. Still a few where it is impossible to find any physical copy though.
A
adit1966
Getting used to the new format. Well done to Dave and Central Cee for another week at the top but will you ever release it on cd?. I'm old school who has collected every number one song back to 1952 and the last few years have been a nightmare finding the real article on release, not just a download or stream. Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran always release cd's on their websites as does Calvin Harris.
Certain artists seem to relish not releasing songs on cd. I find it lazy to just drop a song on the www or issue on a cd in some out of the way country (chile, paraguay).
Please please please issue your songs in the way that they were supposed to (as a single)
M
m
You are the official chart, please give full names of the artists.
example: DAWE/CORRY/HENDERSON
or Weeknd. Is it hard to show respect and give full names?Shoogle
Getting used to the new look now, think there is still a little bit of ironing out to do though. So good to see 'Unhealthy' break into the top 20! 'Until I Found You' for top 10 next week?

Alfie
Hello, and welcome to my first chart review. I originally had a longer one planned out, but it seems that The Official Charts website doesn't want to play nicely today, so I've had to shorten it. Basically, Dave and Central Cee are still at the top, which is alright I guess, Stormzy's new track is fine, Burna Boy's song is alright, Gunna and Nicki Minaj's efforts could have gone a bit better, Leigh-Anne's carrer is heading south, Maisie Peters is having the time of her life, Kelly Clarkson is probably past it now, and Glastonbury is having a right old laugh. Also, Calm Down is on ACR. About Time. Anyways, I'll be back with a longer review next week, hopefully once I've studied how this review system works.

Sorry that I'm so old to know that the current peak position #34 for Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" is not correct. He landed at #4 in 1983.

Hi everyone. Im not sure about this new layout, im sure i'll get used to it. Love the new Venbee song, its a bop. Sad to not see Mimi Webb's new song here though, it's probably because it's not being promoted since it's a theme song.
Piran
Really disappointing to see ‘Don’t Say Love’ plummet so far down in its second week! 😔
It’s also a bit of a shame not to see any Maisie tracks in the Top 100, but congratulations to her on her first #1 album!

RIP ‘Calm Down’ and especially ‘Cupid’…
Both did a lot better than I expected them to and the latter is still among my favourite hits of the year so far! 😁

Not so sure on what to think about the Glastonbury climbs but I think the hype will die off soon.
Also, I haven't commented here since December, but since there's a new look, thought I'd stop by and say hello. 😄

Hello to all our regulars!
Welcome to the all-new OfficialCharts.com, hope you're enjoying exploring. You'll notice there's a little bug with the reply-to-comments mechanism currently, we're working on fixing this along with a few other teething issues, should be back up and running again early next week.
We've also got lots more enhancements to come over the coming weeks, this is just the beginning of the new platform.
Enjoy!
macie
well hello everyone! can’t believe that mishap earlier with the chart positions leaking 😭 this new website clearly has a few issues but I really like it! I do prefer the old layout but I’m happy that you now get chart histories for specific charts :)) have a good weekend everyone

Yep… I think I need to bring in a new tier! 👀
‘Popular’ and ‘Unhealthy’ hitting new peaks and entering is Top 20 is absolutely fantastic news too! Especially glad to see the former making a big comeback.
Also we got two classics back in thanks to Glastonbury which I wasn’t expecting at all but will happily take!

So happy for Peggy. '(It Goes Like) Nanana' is an absolute tune and really deserves its Top 10 spot! 😊

Judging by how far it dropped this week, it doesn’t look like it’ll be returning there anytime soon lol.

Hmm, well the design of the new website and the updated chart/artist archives are certainly looking good… and it looks like we can finally post links again which is really convenient!
Just a shame most of the commenting features still aren’t working and it’s incredibly slow to scroll through the chart on mobile.
Idk how many comments we’ll get here tonight though if we can’t even reply to people yet lmao! 😭

Hi Pram, it seems you're on you own here judging from the comments below. The layout is awful. Difficult to see what's new, not moving or falling, and the massive font??? Awful
