Brand new from: TGMA-(Tony Gideon Music Associates) and all Digital Platforms .. James Foster w/ an Up Tempo Tribute Cover of Marvin Gaye' s .. "Distant Lover" .. This is worth a listen .. Very Strong !!!!

No surprise then that all the singles that got pushed out during the Christmas period, have floated back into the top 20. Making it a very stagnant chart indeed. We basically got regurgitated 2021 rubbish in 2022. This would never have happened in a sales chart. Who would keep buying last year's rubbish? Streaming needs to be banned before the industry is gone forever.

The unpredictability of the charts nowadays is quite unique, but when a record is at number 1 one week and then the next week it falls completely out of the Top 40... well then that's when you have to concede how absolutely stupid the charts are now!

Happy to see Katy Perry & Alesso "When I'm Gone" in the charts! Hope it will rise in the following weeks 'cause it's a bop!!
Also Weeknd's new album is out and it's very good, really love the "radio station"-like concept and the project is very cohesive. Sacrifice and Out of Time are my fav' so far with Take My Breath (so happy he put the extended version!), but Less Than Zero and Is There Someone Else? are great too!

Did expect KATY PERRY 's brand new and amazing single "WHEN I'M GONE" to make to the Top 40 this week! It is, for me, her best single in years and should make a bigger impact on the chart!! Like the amazing RITA ORA, i reckon her pop stardom has gone as both talented artists haven't had any massive success in years..shame really!

Guys...As I am wishing you a great new year...I am letting you know that this is my first new year in here....I feel kinda lost!!! seeing so many REs was expected, but...I never imagined what´s going on in here...there are so many surprises for me...I thought I was gaining some experience in the OSC but today I feel brand new, stupid, lost, ilogical, non sense...I feel the chart took me out of place, and now I will have to read you guys, and start learning again...see....What the heck is Pinkfong doing in the new year´s first list? how come Ed has the # 10, 11, and 12 spots? My Universe a top 20? this version is not doing any honor to the original "Down Under" in LUUDE FT COLIN HAY voices...it doesn´t bother me Olivia going back with 2 of her great songs, especially "Driver´s licence"...but ...Lil Nas going back in track again?? and gladly surprised with "Heartbreak Anthem", "Someone you Loved", "Clash", "Head & Heart", but then again "Shallow? "Happier than ever" makes me happier than ever again...and Gayle and Sam Fender that I am sure one of them will finally displace Adele from the top spot, thou she deserves it, but already had it....is people really downstreaming, or just listening??....I just feel relieved now!! when I saw the chart I felt lost...so help me guys!!! Piran....would you please teach me a lesson on the Singles chart?...or Coolocelot? or Mixra?? or Thierry?? or Alex??

The Killers back at no.51 with Mr Brightside, presumably because it's still on just about every streaming playlist ever invented, including a ton of Here's Some Uplifting Stuff To Play At New Year Now You're Not Just Streaming Christmas Playlists playlists.

Remarkably, in its near 300(!!!) weeks in the Top 100, and over seventeen and a half years since it was released, this is the 15th highest weekly placing it's ever occupied.

why has ed got 4 songs in the chart i thought the rules changed to a max of 3 songs in the top 40 chart in a single week a few years back

It's a shame the OCC have decided to only let 3 of the Encanto songs chart. Doesn't make sense to do that if they're not going to include the album in the main charts. Inconsistent too as all of the 'Black Panther' tracks were allowed to chart in the same week.

Hey OCC, how come only some and not all songs got an ACR reset this week? There are a TON of songs on ACR and a ton came off but quite a lot are still on ACR. Why?

IK that hes only lead artist on three, but come one, 6 weeknd tracks in the top 100 with a three song limit rule. I think if the rule has to exist it should include features as well.

What the happened to the singles chart, after 7 weeks of Adele, back to number 1, surely there must be someone else other than Adele or Ed!!!

ACR needs to go! Shivers would of reclaimed number 1 after months if it wasn’t on acr! Officially sold more than Adele!

I'm pleased for Sam Fender but,really,some of his other songs should've recharted in this mass clear out. There are,in effect,33 new entries to the top 40...anytime that's been beaten?

After Xmas, so many reentries this week! So happy to see artists like TOM GRENNAN, LITTLE MIX, RITON, LADY GAGA, DOJA CAT...but my fav so far: WHITNEY at 73 with I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY: i miss her so much!

Am over the moon to see EMMY MELI claiming her first ever Top 75 this week!! I AM WOMAN is a great song and hope to see the single climbing the single chart this month!

And finally AVA MAX is getting a new top 40 under her belt!! 2 months after its release, THE MOTTO is having his best week yet at 37!! Amazing..........

I really didn't expect to see YEARS AND YEARS back in the chart this week : at 36! Nice to see that re entry!

I can't believe what i am seeing! DERMOT KENNEDY back at 20 this week!! OMG: SO HAPPY!!!

Finallly JOEL CORRY is getting a new peak with I WISH! About time! Do hope he released his first LP soon!!

The album chart #1 will be pretty obvious, but from singles it could be Adele, Gayle, The Weeknd or Lauren Spencer-Smith, probably some others too!

Overjoyed to see the new comer JESSICA DARROW at 14! Great song and hopefully inside the Top 10 next week!!

A really great week for EDM overall, despite the highest entry 'Do It To It' being #9, a lot of EDM songs hit new peaks or even made the Top 40, my favourite being 'Where Are You Now'!

Glad to see 'The Motto' re-enter that high and 'Easy On Me' back at #1
I hope that new Katy Perry song 'When I'm Gone' does well, it's a bop.

I haven't seen encanto yet but personally I'm not too keen on the songs that charted.

Even though I'm a little disappointed 'Night Call' has been delayed, 'Sweet Talker' being Top 40 makes me happy!
