I'm hoping that ABBA can have some big Hits, with their New Songs. But it is very hard, for 'Old' Acts to get near the Top 10 now. Madonna's last Single stalled at No.87 and Queen's got no higher than No.95. So, I'm hoping that ABBA will Release an Album, as 'Old' Acts can still get into the Top 5 of the Album Chart. Madonna's last Album reached No.2 and Queen's was their 10th No.1 Album, in October 2020.

I have never been fond of LORDE: i don't know why but i kind of dislike her voice and some of her songs are kind of boring..but hey, we can't all like the same singers!!

As much as i disliked ( and i really did!) ED Sheeran's previous singles released over the last couple of years, i am really enjoying BAD HABITS and i really like his new single VISITING HOURS! I can't believe that i am saying this but i do hope his 5th album will be as good as his first 2..."no6" whatever the title was, was just AWFUL!

Don't like much this week single chart as so many of my favourite artists are dropping again this week!! But happy to see some still climbing: DOJA CAT with her latest 2 singles: my queen is getting bigger in Europe for the last 2 years: so happy to see that....CLEAN BANDIT is having another great week..same goes for JOEL CORRY who just claimed another Top 10 single ( so well deserved!)

What’s everyone opinion on ‘OUT OUT’? I personally want to like I because is Joel Corry but I feel like I’m gonna be attacked by an angry hornet every time the drop comes around.

Weekly Chart Review:

I’m aware you all think I’m a troll now, but I assure you my comments here will remain the same tone and level of negativity and pessimism as they always have been. Have a nice week everyone, including Frank ig.

🔴 Bad:

•New Entry in the form of ‘Wid It’, not a good song at all. It’s quite a shame how much drill has increased in popularity this year, in my opinion. The line about Essex lips made me chuckle though.

• ’Our Song’ by Anne-Marie and Niall Horan has gone onto ACR, which is such a shame, however they haven’t done themselves much of a favour by removing the original and the Luca Shreiner remix from Amazon Prime.

• ‘Essence’ is still climbing, which is an awful song. I’m yet to hear JBs version, but I can’t imagine it being much better than the version played on R1.

• ‘Fly Away’ and ‘Kiss My (Uh Oh)’ continue to avoid the top 10, despite horrors such as ‘Wasted’ and ‘Talk About’ having places.

• ‘MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)’ has left the top 40 for the first time. Dang 😢

🟡 Mixed:

• ‘GUESS IM IN LOVE’ debuts at number 22, and it’s a good song, but Clinton Kane is a one trick pony, and it’s not much different to CHICKEN TENDIES, or any of his other stuff.

• ‘Bad Habits’ has tied ‘drivers license’ for longest number one of the year, and is on track to overtake. This song has massively worn off on me and as happy as I am for Ed, I’m p*ssed at him for stealing ‘good 4 u’s final weeks, and for keeping ‘STAY’ away from the top spot. I feel like it could even go on to hold it for longer than ‘Shape Of You’ but if it takes the top spot on the year end charts, I’ll be well mad.

• ‘Drive’ and ‘Just For Me’ both climb. Meh.

🟢 Positive:

• ‘Visiting Hours’ scores highest new entry. It’s more traditional Ed, but it’s such a beautiful song and I’m glad it scores him another top 5.

• ‘Need To Know’ and ‘Woman’ reach new peaks and ‘Kiss Me More’ replaces ‘Is Sh*t’. Doja is doing so well for herself and I’m chuffed.

• The Dave tracks are all dropping. Need I say more?

Really surprised that no Rolling Stones tracks have made the chart this week. I wonder if they are banned because of their age ?
