Actually, there’s been three, since ‘Last Christmas’ & ‘Sweet Melody’ both got to #1 this year. :)

Besides, we're absolutely getting a fourth tomorrow & it'll almost certainly be 'Wellerman'!

It's not "ruined music" at all! It's just made the charts a little bit less exciting than what we were seeing a few years ago. :)

Actually, 'Last Christmas' was at #1 from the 1st to the 7th of January this year!

How is without You number 1 when it never was?

I have also been making a 'biggest songs of the year so far' list and updating it every week, however I'm only on Week 10. I'm not including the very first chart week of 2021 (posted on 1st Jan - filled with Christmas songs) because the sales + streams from that week are from the final week of 2020 and so will not count towards this year's overall chart. :)

Consistancy: top 10 every week this year, overall higher average position than any other record and a 2 week advantage over Drivers' License.

I think we're far enough into the year for the Christmas week to have minimal effect now. How different are your calculations to mine?

i definitely think the aitch remix could propel latest trends into the top 10. i hope it manages to get there, it’s a great song even if the remix isn’t as good as the original.
