How it’s taken Midnight 4 months to reach the top 40 is beyond me but not moaning! EDM in a good place rn! All I can do is dream pour the milk got too 40😂

But midnight doing having a 4 month accent shows acr needs to go! It almost hit it multiple times and proves a lot of songs are slow burners now a days!

How perfect is climbing is beyond me😭

And rockstar is defo holding out for another week or so at number 1

Here’s my thoughts of the chart:
- Rockstar is doing a great job! Anyone else think that the official video will give it a 7th week?
- I’m impressed by how long Rain On Me held on for, the #1 race will surely be more interesting if that and Rockstar kept taking it in turns before they get ACR’d.
- Watermelon Sugar is a Top 10 single! I was already on board with it before the promotion.
- Burning is actually a decent song, I can’t stand M Huncho but Dutchavelli is an exciting new talent. I sense chemistry and love the usual drill beat again.
- I’d even give Midnight a pass too! The beat is reminiscent of CamelPhat and the voice is hard hitting. I didn’t think I’d like a dance remix of a Hunger Games track but this is good!
- Unfortunately, Kings & Queens isn’t my style. Sorry to any fans here, but I can’t get on board with it. I also don’t care for Think About Things at all.
- Dance Monkey and Perfect are great songs but I find it funny how they’re still spiking!
- No, what I love most is Ily climbing up to #22. Please let it get to #1 and 2020 is saved!
- Sad to see If The World Was Ending and Houdini go, but I hope Fake Friends makes the Top 40 to make up for it.

I know I’ve ranted about this many times before, but this week’s chart proves my point...

So, ACR was introduced to essentially get rid of older hits that have been sticking around for too long, right?

Then why do we have ‘Perfect’ (not ACR’d, but released in March 2017 with 132 weeks in the chart so far) charting above ‘If The World Was Ending’ (ACR‘d, but released in October 2019 with 26 weeks in the chart so far)?

I wouldn’t mind if ‘Perfect’ was actually more popular than ‘If The World Was Ending’ this past week, but I’m fairly sure it wasn’t.

It would be better to alter the rule so that even older songs are more likely to be placed on ACR sooner than relatively newer ones, or even better, scrap the whole concept of ACR entirely! :/
