if you really want to know what songs were released in the 1980s click the link and keep pressing next until you get to the year 1990! https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/singles-chart/19800106/7501/

Blinding Lights is a rubbish song. All it does, is it mocks the sounds of the 80s. And what are these comments about wanting 80s songs to re-enter the charts, we are not in the 1980s anymore, we are now in the 2020's so stop commenting on wanting music from the 80s to re-enter the singles chart because it won't happen!

Between both ‘Blinding Lights’ & ‘Don’t Start Now’ being inside the Top 5 this week, could 80s-inspired hits be making a comeback in 2020? I sure hope so! :D

Happy to see the weeknd getting his 1st number 1 single...Well deserved and long overdue!! HALSEY getting another Top 20 under belt: yeah!! Her latest album should have been number 1...Billie back as well in the Top 20...and DOJA CAT getting her first Top 40: Say so...it isn't her best song i reckon but still glad to find some success in UK..

Dear Thierry !!! "Never Seen the Rain" by Tones & I isn't her latest single, but it just appeared with a long delay on the UK Singles Chart. If you want to be up to date, listen to this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buWA_xsT_Is

It is a success for Meghan considering that her last 3 singles have not made it into the UK charts. :)

One of the best #1 in ages and definitely the best one so far this year. I also hope "Physical" climbs higher, it's a banger!

I’m not going to have time for a full review this weekend unfortunately, however, I love this chart a lot!!!

‘Blinding Lights’ (10/10) being the new #1 is absolutely wonderful news, as is ‘Physical’ (10/10) debuting inside the Top 15 & Doja Cat getting her UK breakthrough with ‘Say So’ (9/10).

Now if we can give Maia Wright the same level of success, that’d be even better!

I’m sure there’s a lot more to comment on, but those are my highlights for now.

Hope you all have an amazing weekend! :)

Hi Piran,
first of all, YES! YES! A THOUSAND TIMES YES! I'm very happy to see "Blinding Lights" at #1, this week would've been even better with "Physical" in the top 10, but hey can't control everything.
I also like the top 40 entries for "Say So" and "Better Off Without You".
Have a great weekend as well!

'Better Off WIthout You' entered?! Woah... I totally missed that, but that's awesome! :D

I guess I was just so excited by those other three songs I mentioned, that I forgot to take in anything else, haha.
