Since the streaming came in...

Streaming makes a complete mockery of record sales! If the industry is so desperate to include streaming figures - to build the hype on mostly rubbish music - then keep it separate from the 'sales' chart, just as they do with the Download chart...

Nothing special about 'Don't Call Me Up but it might be a future contender.

I won’t have time to do a full review for this week’s chart unfortunately.

However, I will say that I love seeing ‘Someone You Loved’ on top for a second week & I like that ‘Don’t Call Me Up’ is showing potential to be a future #1!

As for the new Top 40 arrivals, here would be my rating of each one...

- ‘Sucker’: 8/10
- ‘How It Is’: 3/10
- ‘Bally’: 4/10
- ‘Don’t Feel Like Crying’: 9/10

I hope you’re all having a good week anyway! :)

Hey Piran! I really like that 'Someone You Loved' managed a 2nd week at #1, and given its current figures it looks like it'll be staying there for a good while yet. It is unlucky for 'Giant', but given that I prefer 'Someone You Loved' I'm not too bothered.
As for the new entries, all of them fall into the 6/10 range for me this week. I'd say that 'Don't Feel Like Crying' is my favourite of the 4 while 'Sucker' is my least favourite, but they're all very close. Unsurprisingly, I like 'How It Is' and 'Bally' more than you, while I like 'Sucker' and 'Don't Feel Like Crying' less.
Next week it looks like Dave will be making headlines as he looks set for a #1 album and 2 or 3 Top 10s with 'Disaster', 'Streatham' and 'Location' at #2, #3 and #10 on Spotify and the entire album in the Top 30. Over on Apple Music the 3 songs are at #1, #3 and #4 and the entire album is in the Top 40. I love seeing this, but I am somewhat surprised by it. I know that Dave has been absolutely killing it recently, but 'PSYCHODRAMA' is not a very commercial album - none of its tracks sound like hits like 'Funky Friday' or 'No Words', other than maybe 'Voices', and there are tracks like the 11 minute long 'Lesley' which would be near impossible to play on the radio, especially on the chart show. You can tell that Dave created the album not for commercial success, but as a project that he could use to express his feelings and as something he could be proud of. The fact that it's doing so well on the charts at the moment is really impressive, and a testament to Dave's skill and ability to connect with and engage the listener when he wants.
I'm not sure what else will be making an entry next week, though. Ava Max's 'So Am I' is surprisingly doing very little on streaming or sales, and none of the tracks from 'Sucker Punch' are doing anything crazy either. Next week very well may just be about Dave.

I really don't like the vocals nor production in either of them, nor most the lyrics in the former.

Hey Gameskiller! :)
It seems like a good week for both of us on the albums chart, as Dave got the #1 album with only a 279 combined sales lead, while 'Sucker Punch' is new at #4! I know the latter did drop a bit from the chart update, but I'm just grateful that Sigrid was able to start in the Top 5!
As for the singles chart, 'Don't Feel Like Crying' became her second Top 20 hit, while Dave got 'Location' at #11, 'Streatham' at #9 & 'Disaster' with J Hus at #8.

I am surprised the Prodigy were not more of a presence. Only reason I came to check...
