Take That's new song - Out Of Our Heads - failed to make the top 100. Take That were one of the biggest boy bands back in the 1990s. You remember the 1990s? When life was still in black and white and the internet was more mysterious than a crop circle!

A pile of at number one AGAIN

I was counting on Lady Gaga to get that top spot and it looks as though she could be there for many weeks to come.

what happens with Imagine Dragons and Panic at the disco???? they deserve a top 10....

My thoughts & observations on the UK charts as always…

- ‘Shallow’ by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper hits #1 on the singles chart, leading by just 1,200 combined sales. It becomes Lady Gaga’s fifth #1 & Bradley Cooper’s first!

- Lady Gaga leads both the singles & albums chart simultaneously for a third time in her career! The other two occasions were in 2009 (with ‘Poker Face’ & ‘The Fame’) & 2010 (with ‘Telephone’ & ‘The Fame Monster’).

- As for Bradley Cooper, he becomes the first Hollywood actor to have a #1 single since Nicole Kidman’s collaboration with Robbie Williams on ‘Somethin’ Stupid’ (the 2001 Christmas #1).

- ‘Let You Love Me’ by Rita Ora becomes the new #1 on the airplay chart.

- ‘Girls Like You’ by Maroon 5 ft Cardi B is back atop the YouTube chart once again, mostly thanks to a Volume 2 version of the official video being release. Both versions combined had 2.67 million views this past week, which was an 8.9 percent increase over the previous week.

- POST MALONE & SWAE LEE – SUNFLOWER (#7)
I’m not sure how others will feel about this opinion, but Post Malone has grown on me lots over the past couple of years, especially over the summer! ‘Sunflower’ could even be my favourite song from his yet. See, autotuned vocals have been a problem in hip-hop for a while now, but Post Malone can actually use it to his advantage here, same for Swae Lee. The acoustic guitars add to the chilled vibe that this song already has & it’s a strange but interesting pairing with the electronic beat. Add a catchy hook to that & you get a song that I was more impressed with that I ever could’ve imagined! Yeah, I like this a lot, strong 8/10 for me!

- ZARA LARSSON – RUIN MY LIFE (#31)
If you’ve been reading my chart reviews regularly each week, you should know that I was very excited for Zara Larsson to return to the charts. As for this, it might be a good song, although I don’t see having the same hit status that songs like ‘Lush Life’ or ‘Ain’t My Fault’ got. What caught me off guard was the content of how Zara’s deliberately trying to look for an unhealthy relationship, which in her perspective is toxic, yet adventurous. While lyrics in this lane can be tough to appreciate, the passionate delivery is enough to give this enough of a boost to make it enjoyable. That said, the real reason I’m going to come back to this is Zara herself showing off an impressive range & also the adrenaline rush you get in the pre-chorus riff. Maybe this’ll grow on me even more in the coming weeks, but for now, I’m thinking a strong 7/10.

- D-BLOCK EUROPE – NASSTY (#35)
So there have been a couple of fellow chart-watchers I’ve been chatting to both here & on the Billboard forum who didn’t exactly have positive things to say about this song & some of them are even hip-hop fans for the most part, something I’ll admit I’m usually not. Really though, I don’t know whether or not to call this bad or just boring & immediately forgettable. On one hand, the lyrics are either bragging about brands or cars or trying to hook up with girls, but on the other hand, the auto-tune is so obviously over a dull & miserable trap beat. I would be more mad at this if it actually stuck around or gained considerably, but given the relatively low buzz about this compared to other grime songs, I don’t think it will. As it is, this is barely scraping a 3/10.

- DUA LIPA & BLACKPINK – KISS & MAKE UP (#36)
This song actually made Official Chart history today as it's the first ever song by a K-Pop female group to make the Top 40. Scott Mills said on Radio 1 today that he could see this being a huge hit & I can agree with him after checking this out! This collaboration is one I’d never have expected, but the more I listen to it, the more it makes sense to me. It’s really good to see two cultures coming together, especially when the lyrics is about putting relationship problems behind you & just moving on. That said, Dua Lipa’s powerful vocals show exactly why so many critics have been tipping her to be a huge popstar for a while now & it fits exceptionally well alongside BLACKPINK’s Korean singing. The production has an addictive dance groove to it which is all I can say I enjoyed in terms of instrumentation, but if any of the five new Top 40 arrivals get big in the coming weeks, it’ll be this one! In the meantime, this is a solid 7/10.

- RAK-SU – I WANT YOU TO FREAK (#39)
I’ve been mostly impressed with the winners of the X Factor in recent years, although given that they moved the day of the charts & sales are becoming increasingly irrelevant, they’ve not been doing as well here since those changes were made. Fortunately, this is a good sign for Rak-Su’s debut album! This samples the classic ‘Freak Like Me’ by Adina Howard, but the Rak-Su boys have put their own dancehall twist to it make the song their own. Their infectious energy hasn’t changed in the slightest, even if their lyrics have become a fair bit more basic. The flows are decent, although none of the parts here really blew me away. For me, it’s a strong 6/10.

- The rest of the Top 5 on the albums chart is: ‘The Greatest Showman’ [Soundtrack] (3-2), ‘Always In Between’ by Jess Glynne (1-3), ‘Natural Rebel’ by Richard Ashcroft (debuts at #4, mid-week #1) & ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ [Soundtrack] by Queen (debuts at #5).

- Looking ahead to next week, these songs could enter the Top 40 for the first time: ‘Waste It All On Me’ by Steve Aoki ft BTS, ‘A Million Dreams’ by P!NK, ‘Moves’ by Olly Murs ft Snoop Dogg, ‘Half As Good As You Are’ by Tom Odell ft Alice Merton, ‘Money’ by Cardi B, ‘Close To Me’ by Ellie Goulding x Diplo ft Swae Lee, ‘First World Problems’ by Ian Brown, ‘Polaroid’ by Jonas Blue, Liam Payne & Lennon Stella, ‘Arms Around You’ by XXXTENTACION & Lil Pump ft Maluma & Swae Lee, ‘Suncity’ by Khalid ft Empress Of & maybe even more.
