Frankie Goes to Hollywood become only the fourth act in chart history to hold the top two positions in the chart, after The Beatles (twice - I want to Hold Your Hand/She Loves You 1963 and Hello Goodbye/Magical Mystery Tour ep 1967), John Travolta (Summer Nights - with Olivia Newton-John/Sandy 1978) and John Lennon (Imagine/Merry Xmas (War is Over) and Imagine/Woman in 1981). Madonna would repeat the feat a year later, but then it wouldn't happen again for another thirty years.
