Chart Update 11/09/2023

In order to make this review more interesting, I will attempt to type any artists I mention in Greek typography. I also didn't feel like making any jokes today.

As of the current time of day, ΔΟΔΧΑ ΚΑΤ (Doja Cat) is still ruling the world, in spite of ΩΛΙΒΙΑ ΡΟΔΡΙΓΟ (Olivia Rodrigo) releasing her new album, thus causing mass hysteria among the upper regions of the chart.

Outside the Top 20, everyone's third favourite ΛΙΤΛ ΜΙΞ (Little Mix) member, ΛΗ ΑΝ ΠΙΝΟΚ (Leigh-Anne Pinnock), is having trouble stabilising herself in the modern pop world. Her current showing, just like her last one, is financed by the unhappy complications of PHYSICAL RELEASES. And she's doing worse than last time, so that doesn't help.

In other news, for some reason ΘΗ ΡΟΛΙΝΚ ΣΤΟΝΖ (The Rolling Stones) decided to make new music, by using the hijack-Jimmy-Fallon's-show-and-play-some-songs trick this time around. This, combined with the fact that ΛΕΙΔΙ ΓΑΓΑ (Lady Gaga) wants to be on their new LP, means that Angry is currently at 29, even though it will probably be at 59 on Friday.

As for the other stuff, ΚΛΑΒΙΧ (Clavish) has seen better days, K-Pop will be the death of us, the armies of generic dance music will not go away, but ΚΑΡΔΥ Β (Cardi B) and ΜΕΓΑΝ ΘΙ ΣΤΑΛΙΟΝ (Megan Thee Stallion) could be forgiven for their shoddy showing so far, as Bongos may not even MAKE the Top 40. Which, given this is a sequel to a No.1 from a few years ago, is a catastrophic sign.

BYE.

(P.S. Having to go back to school again really does a knock on your self-confidence when writing these comments, huh. Oh, and ΚΑΙΛΙ (Kylie) falls a million places this week, so we can probably save all those "third coming" quotes for when her album comes out later this month.)

Hoping 'Rave Out' reaches the Top 40 later in the month! 🤞

I doubt she's going back to #1 this week, but good to see Olivia still with three songs in the Top 10! 😊

'Pretty Isn't Pretty' is in your Top 3 too? It's second for me!

I unfortunately don't think they'll stay there until Friday, but good to see the iconic Rolling Stones in the Top 40!
