Sigrid's 'Strangers' looks set to be a potential number one in the near future.

I don't think Eminem has ever spent more than one week at number one. Correct me if I'm wrong. That could all change on Fri though.

No, it doesn't look like he's ever spent more than 1 week at #1. But I highly doubt that it'll change on Friday. 'River' will drop to #3 as either 'Barking' or 'God's Plan' hits #1, and the other hits #2.

I'm pleased to see 'River' still at #1, as well as 'IDGAF' & 'Breathe' expected to enter the Top 10! :)

I don't think that 'River' will manage to stay at #1 to be honest. I think it'll probably drop to #3 as 'Barking' and 'God's Plan' overtake it. It will be extremely close between those two songs though, as 'God's Plan' missed a day or two of the tracking week, but has been doing ridiculously well ever since. It and 'Barking' are about equal on sales right now, just behind 'Strangers', but 'God's Plan' has a massive lead on streaming.
I'd really like to see 'IDGAF' and 'Breathe' hit the Top 10 on Friday, though!

Yeah, as I said in my comment on the Official Chart Update article, 'God's Plan' will be far higher than predicted & with its streaming lead, it could pull a surprise to hit #1, although it wasn't really a big challenger at the very start of the tracking week like you said,
'Barking' could be a contender as well, given that it's finally starting to catch up in sales. I agree that 'River' could fall to #3 on Friday though, with 'Strangers' potentially being at #4.
If 'God's Plan' does hit #1, that's fine as the song is decent, although I hope we don't get a Drake reign like we did with 'One Dance'!
I'm sure 'IDGAF' will hit the Top 10 given that it's been strong on Spotify all week & catching up slowly on sales, but I'm still a little unsure on 'Breathe' getting there.
By the way, some good news you might like to hear is that Camila got both the #1 album & #1 single in the US this week! I also posted my 'Camila' review on the latest albums chart article if you haven't commented on it already. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing 'God's Plan' at #1 either, but I don't want it to stay there for any more than 4 or 5 weeks. If it does get another 15 weeks though, that would put Drake ahead of Ed and Justin for total weeks at #1 this decade, as he'd have 31 and Ed and Justin both have 30 right now (though Ed's includes 6 weeks for uncredited vocals on 'Love Yourself').
'Barking' is doing more than catching up on sales. It's currently #2 on iTunes and is selling around 96% of 'Strangers' at #1! 'God's Plan' is right behind at #3 with around 95% and both of these are doing this without a discount, while 'Strangers' is discounted. 'River' is at #6 with around 57%.
EDIT: Kworb updated just now, and 'Barking' is now at #1! 'Strangers' is down at #2 with 98%, and 'God's Plan' is at #3 with 96%.
Yeah, I saw that Camila had hit #1 on both charts in the US. You would not believe how happy I was! I'm still sad that she didn't make it over here, but having her reach #1 on both charts in the US does kind of make up for it.
I'll go check out your review of the album now!

I don't think 'God's Plan' will make it as far as 15 weeks at #1 due to the new streaming ratio that comes in after 10 weeks. Even without that, it doesn't have the initial sales impact that 'One Dance' did.
Believe it or not, iTunes just updated & it has passed 'Strangers' to hit #1 there, although it's not far ahead of that nor 'God's Plan'. Do you think 'Barking' still has a chance to reach #1 on the Official Chart overall?
I was exceptionally happy too about Camila's success in the US this week! Regarding the UK albums chart, it appears that 'The Greatest Showman' is blocking First Aid Kit & even Fall Out Boy for #1, so it might be the best performing album of 2018 so far, if it has been able to pass '÷' by now.
I look forward to hearing your comments on my review! :)

I think that 'Barking' has a pretty good chance of #1 this week, but if 'God's Plan' manages to make it this week I don't think 'Barking' will ever get there, unless 'God's Plan' drops really fast.

It's still going to be one of the closest races in a while, but there's one more day of tracking which should be interesting.
My instinct says that 'God's Plan' will take the #1, given that it was significantly ahead of 'Barking' in both sales & streaming over the past three days, which itself is about half the tracking week. 'Barking' also only passed 'God's Plan' on sales literally only this time yesterday, while 'Barking' was only in front of 'God's Plan' up until like Sunday.

Yeah, I think that 'God's Plan' will be able to make it with marginally better combined sales than 'Barking', though I'd like for 'Barking' to lead for at least one week before 'God's Plan' almost inevitably takes over next week.

Do you know how much Spotify roughly contributes to streaming overall, because I can imagine it's a fairly high percentage. 'Barking' is also #1 on Apple Music as far as I know, or at least, it was last Friday.

http://kworb.net/charts/apple_s/uk.html, though it's http://kworb.net/charts/deezer/uk.html.
Considering that Spotify has 70 million paying subscribers as of this month, and 140 million active monthly users as of June 2017 (so likely up to around 180 - 200 million by now, since they had 50 million paying subscribers at the same time, which is now up to 70 million), while Apple Music had 30 million subscribers as of September 2017 (so likely around 38 million now) and doesn't have a free tier, though it does have a 3 month free trial, I would expect Spotify to contribute somewhere between 60%-75% of the overall streaming market (not including YouTube). This is mostly guesswork though, with a few facts to back it up.
Also, random little factoid I found on Kworb, http://kworb.net/spotify/country/jp_daily.html.
