A lot of the music magazines and papers died in publication before the October 1997 cut in date however Number 1, Record Mirror ect. did used to publish the Indie charts either by Themselves, Gallop, MIRB ect so quite a lot of rare pre 1997 years can be recovered but the rest between the cut off dates of the music magazines and papers eras and the cut in dates from the chart here you would have to get from a harder source than publicly available on the internet scans.
What gets more complicated in recovering historic charts is there's lots of genre charts published in the same old sources and lots of them you don't have or don't carry on yourselves from the cutoffs but it's still UK history our UK website must have published on it whilst recovering lost Indie charts.
