DJ Quik, Lata Mangeshkar and OtaaL
Is beating Alienated and Stardust in the YouTube Music scores 3.3M Zayn, Knight and Khan has gotta watch out for 40 years veteran in the business Rakim here OtaaL is a 16 year old dominating the broadcast version of The Punjabi Chart with more than one entry and using Rakim's old background music from 2002 has got to have that nostalgia factor which is going to make people from the 80s and 90s generation who wants a nostalgia hit of Truth Hurts Feat. Rakim Addictive done differently will stream that one as well I feel unless they are playing the original.
I'm still not sure if DJ Quik is an alias for 40 years veteran Rakim or not but I'm sure he is British too anyway and he sure stole the credit of Rakim's Addictive music as the sample doesn't sound mixed any different to me and I've heard it millions of times it even used to be Sanjay Dutt's (Wrestler) entrance theme on multiple promotions shows on The Wrestling Channel before it went under sounded no different so Quik unless it's a new name for Rakim stole the credits so it's British anyway and I think the video looked like it was shot in Britain and everything.
But I also know that the written Punjabi Chart seems to be way behind the broadcast version like both versions are now doing their own thing and it stopped being done monthly to weekly again as well so thats why it wasn't known about.
Ok, the video seemed to be shot in the US actually but I still feel the track itself parts were done in the UK as Rakim of Paid in Full fame was from here I think and even did a Top of the Pops of Paid in Full.
