Am I the only one to question the worth and meaning of charts theses days. You get a top 10 album with sales that wouldnt have got you near the Swiss top 100 in the 80s. And in the 2nd week its all gone and forgotten. If you are not Ed Sheeran.

Absolutely, singles charts aren't serious for me anymore since legendaries artists such Kylie and Madonna won't have top tens songs anymore cuz they're not strong on streaming or you tube views but they're still strong on sales. That is ridiculous

If you are looking for closure, or reviews ,there's websites like AOTY and Metacritic for that.
And You don't have to be Ed,
There's a lot of underrated out there that don't even make it to top 100 (but you'll find them on review sites, with excellent scores)
Im a huge fan of Alternative but most don't chart yet they're better in many ways than people listen to these days
