There are five Beatles albums in the chart. Nice to see.
jake pepper
The Beatles have done it again, but with the power of publicity and hype. Of course, there are haters that attack the band because it is not considered pop, r&b or hip hop. It is a birthright that The Beatles are praised in the white media, whereas other rock legends never get the same push as the fab four do. No wonder they get such universal hatred, especially from people of color. Listen to The Beatles "Black Bird" "Rocky Raccoon" "Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey" and "You Never Give Me Your Money." They even named an album, "The White Album" for their superiority of their race. As a modern day society, we should me ashamed that we look backwards instead of forward. When will the painful memories of the terrible sixties of Jim Crow finally end?

How can Abbey Road have been in the charts for just 14 weeks when it was in there in 2009 and also again a few weeks ago and also for quite a while back in 1969/1970?
You included the weeks in 1967 for Sgt Pepper, so why not for this? Useless.

If you click on 'Beatles' and click 'albums' it shows a list of all their albums. It seems Abbey Road has the original 1969 release showing 97 weeks in top 100 and also this 1987 release with 14 weeks. I've had to compile my own lists to keep track of it all as OCC seems to mess a lot of information up.
Why they don't list as one is anyone's guess.
Chris Alcroft
I used to rely on the guiness book of British hit singles and albums as 'The bible' for music facts and figures.
Since OCC online started, the discrepancies from the guiness days, are quite widespread.not just for the Beatles but many, many more artists - sad but true!
Chris Alcroft
Abbey road is a timeless classic by The Beatles.a unique blend of rock and pop band - I'll have you know!
Congratulations boys,your no1 again.
Vladislav Volcheck
Abbey Road is a fine example of the music that has stood the test of time. I doubt the nonsense that is being released today will be listened to in 50 years.
