You Me At Six’s Night People could earn them a second Number 1 album this week
You Me at Six are on course to clinch their second consecutive UK Number 1 album.
The rock band’s fifth studio album Night People is 1,800 copies ahead of Little Mix's Glory Days (2) on today’s Official Chart Update. The girl group were last week's chart topper and have claimed four non-consecutive weeks at the Official Albums Chart summit.
You Me At Six last scored a Number 1 album in 2014 with Cavalier Youth, the group's first to hit the coveted top spot. Prior to that success, the band had secured a further three Top 40 albums.

New entries and high climbers
January sales and retail promotions for George Michael's back catalogue sees his 1998 greatest hits Ladies & Gentlemen rise seven places to today's midweek slot of Number 4, just ahead of another high riser, David Bowie's Legacy. A day before the one-year anniversary of the icon's death, his newest greatest hits set rises 13 places to Number 5.
Further down the Top 40, George Michael features once more with Twenty Five at Number 13, up 32 spots. Another artist returning to the Top 40 this week is Ed Sheeran. Ahead of his potential record-breaking return to the Official Singles Chart this Friday, Ed's second studio album x vaults 31 positions to 16.
Sundara Karma's debut album Youth Is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect lands at 17 at the halfway mark this week, while The Shires' My Universe, boosted by a TV advertising campaign, rises six spots to Number 24.
Finally, Ed Sheeran's debut record + charges back into the Top 40 from 98 to Number 27, a smidgen ahead of David Bowie's final studio collection Blackstar; a few days removed from what would have been David's 70th birthday, his last LP of work flies 48 positions to Number 28.
