The Chainsmokers have released their new single The One... and it's a ballad
Thought The Chainsmokers' debut album was going to be wall-to-wall EDM bangers? Well think again...
The duo have released a brand new single called The One today (March 28), and - brace yourselves - it's a piano-led ballad.
Well, we say ballad; things do get a bit more mid tempo for the final 30 seconds. Listen below:
The One features on The Chainsmokers' upcoming debut album Memories...Do Not Open, which is out on April 7. The collection features previous singles Paris and Coldplay collaboration Something Just Like This.
If you're wondering why their massive hits Closer and Don't Let Me Down aren't on it, they're on their Collage EP, which was released last November.

"If we released an album and it was promoted the right way, it would give us a chance to regroup artistically and do another album with a totally different concept next time." You can read the full interview here.
