The biggest Irish Homegrown songs and albums released in 2021
Dermot Kennedy and Picture This have the biggest single and album releases by an Irish homegrown act of 2021, the Official Charts Company can reveal.
In our year-end lists of the biggest homegrown songs and albums released over the past year, Dermot Kennedy's Better Days and Picture This' Life In Colour emerge victorious.
Better Days reached a peak of Number 4 on the Irish Singles Chart last year, and was Dermot's third solo Top 10 single, following Outnumbered (Number 2) and Giants (Number 1). He also reached Number 1 last year with Paradise, his team-up with dance giants Meduza.
Coming in in second place were Niall Horan and Anne-Marie with their single Our Song, taken from Anne-Marie's second album, Therapy.
Also included in the Top 10 are Rain Radio and DJ Craig Gorman with Talk About, Shane Codd and Charlotte Haining with Always On My Mind and Lea Heart with IDK Why.

Albums wise, Picture This take Number 1 spot with their third record, Life In Colour. It peaked at Number 2 on the Official Irish Albums Chart following its release in June. Picture This’ fourth consecutive Top 2 album.
Life In Colour contained the single Things Are Different, which became a Top 20 hit in Ireland too.
Westlife are at Number 3 with Wild Dreams, their first album in 2 years, and their first since signing with Warner Records. At Number 4 its Inhaler, with their debut album It Won't Always Be Like This.
Other acts in the Top 10 include Christy Moore, Imedla May and Bicep.
