Teddy Swims' I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) vs Central Cee's CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS for Number 1 album

Who do you want to see take the top spot?

Teddy Swims and Central Cee

The race for this week’s Official Number 1 album is on, with Teddy Swims taking on Central Cee for the top spot.

I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2), the sequel to Swims’ 2023 debut of the same name, currently leads the pack; on course to become the Georgia singer-songwriter’s first UK chart-topper. Part 1 of the LP peaked at Number 12 last year, and was named one of the UK’s biggest albums of 2024.

But there’s still all to play for, as Central Cee unleashes his long-awaited debut album CAN’T RUSH GREATNESS (2). The West London rapper’s first full-length project sits fewer than 2000 chart units behind Swims at the midweek mark, and also looks set to see him sink three entries on this week’s Official Singles Chart.

Previously, Cench has seen two mixtapes impact the Albums Chart: 2021’s Wild West (2) and 2022’s 23 (1).

Experimental pop auteur FKA twigs could be celebrating a career-best with EUSEXUA this week, tracking to become her first-ever Top 5 entry (3). The Cheltenham-born singer-songwriter, real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett, previously saw success with 2014’s LP1 (16), 2019’s MAGDALENE (21) and 2022 work CAPRISONGS (42).

Scottish rock outfit Mogwai are on course to claim a fourth Top 10 album with 11th studio record The Bad Fire (4). The group, comprising Stuart Braithwaite, Dominic Aitchison, Martin Bulloch and Barry Burns, scored their first UK chart-topper with 2021’s As The Love Continues.

Heard Noises could earn Bedfordshire-born multihyphenate Matt Berry a personal best; his 13th studio album expected to become his first Top 10 across a musical career spanning three decades (7).

Former Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan’s second LP Roadrunner could also become his highest-charting as a soloist; eyeing a Number 8 debut.

BRITs 2025 nominee and Rising Star winner Myles Smith may see debut EP A Minute… break the Top 20 for the first time following its release on physical formats (14).

50 years after Thin Lizzy’s first-ever Official Albums Chart appearance, The Acoustic Sessions – a groundbreaking record bringing together the voice of Philip Lynott, guitar work of founding member Eric Bell and original drum takes of Brian Downey - looks to become Thin Lizzy’s 16th Top 40 entry (21).

West Bridgford-born alt duo ALT BLK ERA, sisters Nyrobi and Chaya Beckett-Messam, hope to make their chart debut with first studio album Rave Immortal (22). Fellow sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell of US roots band Larkin Poe eye their first UK Top 40, too, with eighth release Bloom (26).

A ONE MORE TIME… PART-2 deluxe edition of blink-182’s 2003 work, featuring 10 new tracks across a brand-new vinyl variant, could see it return to the Top 40 for the first time in two years (27).

The Verve’s 2004 compilation This Is Music: The Singles also looks to rebound back into the Top 40 (31). It’s thanks to a 20th anniversary vinyl reissue, now including singles from the Wigan rock group’s 2008 reunion album Forth.

And finally, Ripley rock legend Eric Clapton’s 22nd solo studio album Meanwhile could earn him a Top 40 entry almost six decades after his first (34).
