Taylor Swift announces new single Patient Zero

Taylor Swift has announced she will be releasing a new single.  

Revealed on her social media platforms today (22 September), the upcoming track is titled Patient Zero and will release this Friday (25 September). 

On an Instagram post, Taylor said: “I’ve been impatiently waiting to tell you that my brand new single “Patient Zero” will be out on September 25 (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and it’s available to pre-order now on my website for 24 hours. 0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣.”

The single will be available on all digital platforms, but you can also pre-order it as CD. Patient Zero is available in three versions: the original, a piano version and an acoustic version.

Taylor teased the announcement this afternoon after changing her Instagram bio to read: "And, baby, that's sh0w business f0r y0u.❤️‍🔥", sparking mass fan hysteria online. 

Following the announcement, can we expect a new album from Tay Tay on the way?  

Taylor’s 2026 has already been successful, when Toy Story 5 track I Knew It, I Knew You reached Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, earning her a seventh chart-topping tune.
