Taylor Swift's Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version) features in The Handmaid's Tale
Is reputation (Taylor's Version) on its way?
A new Taylor Swift recording – Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version) – has featured in the latest episode of The Handmaid's Tale.
The sharp, swaggering bop – a remake of a single from Taylor's reputation album – can be heard at the very start of the episode, where it soundtracks a scene in which June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) and her fellow handmaids launch an insurrection against their oppressors.
Elisabeth Moss, who is also one of the show's executive producers, told Billboard that she has been "wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show".
"I’m so glad we waited because there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment," added the actress, who described herself as "Swiftie" who views Taylor as "such an inspiration".
The original version of Look What You Made Me Do was released in August 2017 as reputation's lead single. It became Taylor's first Number 1 song in the UK – of four to date.
Notably, it contains an interpolation of another huge hit, Right Said Fred's 1991 house classic I'm Too Sexy, which peaked at Number 2.

Fans will now be wondering if Taylor is preparing to announce Reputation (Taylor's Version), the fifth installment in her ongoing project to re-record each of her first six albums.
She released Fearless (Taylor's Version) and Red (Taylor's Version) in 2021, followed by Speak Now (Taylor's Version) and 1989 (Taylor's Version) in 2023. Each of her four Taylor's Version albums has reached Number 1 on the UK's Official Albums Chart.
In the process, they've helped to make her a record breaker. In February of this year, Taylor Swift made Official Chart history when she scored her 13th Number 1 album, overtaking Madonna to become the female artist with the most UK Number 1 albums ever.
