Spice Girls said of the collab: "We are excited to partner with the Red Roses in supporting women’s sport, particularly as this year for the first time in history, there will be a female president of the RFU – that’s incredible Girl Power! We hope the whole country will join us in cheering on the team at the Rugby World Cup, as they build on their great start."

Zoe Aldcroft, captain of the Red Roses, added: “This is a really important year for us as a team and it’s fantastic to partner with a band which shares so many of the same values as we do and understands the dedication, hard work and perseverance it takes to reach the top and stay there."

Spice Girls' iconic debut single Wannabe – the first of their nine UK Number 1 singles – turns 30 in July 2026. Could this supply the impetus for the group to reunite as a five-piece for the first time since the London 2012 Olympics. Here's hoping!
