Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan announces 'A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness' UK and EU shows to celebrate iconic 1995 album
The album is one of the joint-highest charting Smashing Pumpkins records
Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan will bring his A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness live shows to the UK and Europe - celebrating the iconic 1995 album.
The shows, which have already had a stint in North America, re-envision the album in a completely different way with the incorporation of a 60-piece orchestra.
Corgan will now bring the shows to the UK and Europe, with two gigs planned at London's Royal Festival Hall on Tuesday, 1 and Wednesday 2 September 2026.
The show is said to, "re-imagine and pay homage to the era-defining album of the same name, whilst also expanding the definition and intention of opera."
Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness built on the incredible success of the band's debut, Siamese Dream. It became an instant classic, pushing the boundaries of grunge music and establishing The Pumpkins as core pioneers of its sound.
The album is one of the group's highest charting projects, peaking at Number 4.
