Prince's NPG Records in partnership with Legacy Recordings have released a new single and music video With This Tear, on the tenth anniversary of his passing.

A previously unreleased studio recording from Prince's legendary vault, it was recorded in 1991 at Paisley Park and has now been newly mixed and mastered by former Prince engineer and producer,  Chris James.

The track features Prince producing, arranging, composing, and performing all instrumentation. Not long after, Prince offered the track to Celine Dion, who released her own version in 1992.

This track is the beginning of a number of unreleased Prince recordings scheduled to drop this year, as part of a never before released Prince album project.

The release arrives alongside the annual A Day 2 Reflect | A Night 2 Remember, held today (April 21) at Paisley Park.

This comprises of public tours, a candle lighting ceremony at 4:21pm, and a Prince in Concert screening.

It also precedes the upcoming Prince Celebration, 10th Anniversary Celebration of Life, a five-day global gathering honouring Prince's enduring legacy, taking place June 3-7, 2026 across Paisley Park, and downtown Minneapolis.

This will include, for the first time, members of NPG and The Revolution coming together to celebrate Prince on stage.

Throughout the week, attendees will experience exclusive presentations of unreleased material and rare archival content, offering deeper insight into Prince's creative process, bringing fans ever closer to his timeless legacy.
