OneRepublic just Need Your Love: Exclusive First Listen

Ryan Tedder and the boys are back with a brand-new single - here's what you can expect

The world looked a lot different when OneRepublic broke through with their debut album Dreaming Out Loud back in 2007. MySpace was the music discovery platform du jour. Our green iPod Shuffle was the gateway to 500 (!). The humble download dominated.

That said, things have kind of come full circle. Tate McRae's taking inspiration from Timbaland beats, CDs are back on the shelves and our wired headphones sit tangled in our pockets.

While many artists fell victim to the shifts, OneRepublic have remained a staple, ready to unleash brand-new music in big 2026.

Today, the band give Official Charts an exclusive First Listen to Need Your Love ahead of its release on Friday, April 3.

Produced by Ryan Tedder and co-written alongside the UK's very own James Essien (BTS, ZAYN), Need Your Love sees the band highlighting good, old fashioned personal connection over a materialistic mindset.

"Don't need the buzz or the credit cards, the house on the hill with the perfect yard / Don't got to see my name on the boulevard, I don't need a million dollars giving me expensive problems, don't need a drink just to fill the cup."

Need Your Love offers OneRepublic's signature pop-rock sensibilities, with Ryan arguably the architect of the anthemic, arena-ready chorus.

"But I, I need your love / Oh I, I need your love / Got me sayin' I, I need your love."

There's a nostalgia to Tedder's vocal, while the band are clearly still keen to tread new ground sonically.

"Don't got to act like such a big deal / Don't got to lie 'cause the way you make me feel / Most people searching for something real / I don't need a million dollars giving me expensive problems, don't need a drink just to fill the cup."
