Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart with Shallow.

The lead single taken from the Motion Picture Cast Recording to A Star Is Born, Shallow rockets from Number 12 to the top spot, spurred on by the movie’s roaring success. Bradley stars as Jackson Maine and also makes his directorial debut, while Gaga plays singer-songwriter Ally.

Shallow is Bradley’s first Irish Number 1 single, while it marks the sixth time Gaga has sat at the throne of the Irish Top 50. Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Telephone and Born This Way are Lady Gaga’s previous Irish Number 1 hits.

Last week’s chart topper Promises by Calvin Harris & Sam Smith retreats to Number 2, while Marshmello & Bastille’s Happier reaches a new peak of Number 3. Kanye West & Lil Pump drop one to 4 with I Love It, and Australian up-and-comer Dean Lewis hops into the Top 5 for the very first time with Be Alright (5).

New entries and high climbers

Rita Ora smashes into the Top 10 this week, up eleven slots to Number 7 with Let Me Love You, her seventh Top 10 single in Ireland. Further down the Top 20, Without Me gives Halsey her highest charting song as a lead artist at Number 17, while MK, Jonas Blue & Becky Hill’s Back & Forth (18) and Taki Taki by DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, Cardi B and Ozuna (20) break into the Top 20.

Four new entries impact this week’s Top 30: London rappers Dave & Fredo claim their first Top 50 entry with Funky Friday at 21, and Eminem’s Venom debuts at 24, while two more songs from the A Star Is Born soundtrack make their first appearances; Always Remember Us This Way by Lady Gaga lands at 25, and I’ll Never Love Again by both Gaga & Bradley is right behind at 26. The Chainsmokers’ latest offering This Feeling with Kelsea Ballerini is also in the Top 30, rising 15 to 27.
