Oasis vibes in the area - we’re heading back behind the scenes of Live ’25!

Liam and Noel Gallagher’s history-making Oasis reunion is getting the documentary treatment with Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger - and a brand-new trailer has now given us our first proper glimpse at the film.

Charting the brothers’ blockbuster Oasis Live ’25 comeback, the documentary promises unprecedented access to the reunion that dominated 2025, from rehearsals and backstage moments to footage from those mammoth sold-out shows.

And that’s not all. The film also features Liam and Noel’s first joint interview in more than 20 years, as the pair reflect on the reunion that brought Oasis back together - and sent fans across the world into a frenzy.

Created by BAFTA and Oscar-nominated Peaky Blinders mastermind Steven Knight and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger will make its world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on September 5, before heading to cinemas worldwide and, later, streaming.

When is the Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger documentary released?

UK Oasis fans will be able to catch Oasis: Don't Look Back In Anger in selected cinemas from Wednesday September 9, including London’s BFI IMAX.

Across the pond, the documentary will open in cinemas across the US on September 11, including screenings at selected IMAX venues.

Special limited IMAX Early Access Screenings will also take place across the US and Canada two days earlier, on September 9.

The documentary will then make its way to streaming later in 2026.

How can I watch the Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger documentary?

Following its cinema release, Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ internationally later in 2026.

In the US, fans will be able to watch the documentary on both Hulu and Disney+.

An exact Disney+ streaming release date has yet to be confirmed.

Tickets for Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger are expected to go on sale ahead of its September cinema release.

In the UK, BFI IMAX has confirmed it will screen the documentary in London from September 9, although tickets are not currently available to book. More on that soon!

In the US, Fandango has listed the film ahead of its September 11 release, with fans currently able to sign up to be notified when tickets go on sale.

The limited IMAX Early Access screenings across the US and Canada will also take place on September 9.

Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger follows Liam and Noel Gallagher through their long-awaited Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, offering a behind-the-scenes look at one of the biggest musical comebacks in recent memory.

With never-before-seen footage spanning rehearsals, backstage and the stage itself, the documentary captures the reunion from both the band and fans’ perspectives, looking at how Oasis’s return became a global cultural moment.

Perhaps most excitingly, it features the first joint interview with Liam and Noel in over two decades.

The documentary will explore the emotional impact of the reunion and the enduring place Oasis’s music holds for generations of fans around the world.

Who made the Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger documentary?

Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger was created by Steven Knight, the BAFTA and Oscar-nominated writer, producer and director behind Peaky Blinders and A Thousand Blows.

It’s directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, whose previous music documentaries include LCD Soundsystem film Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet Me in the Bathroom, chronicling New York City’s early-2000s music scene.

Produced by Magna Studios and presented by Sony Music Vision in association with Sony Music Entertainment UK, the film’s creative team also includes Oscar-winning sound mixers James Mather (Top Gun: Maverick, Belfast) and Tarn Willers (The Zone of Interest), cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos (Belfast, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) and editors George Cragg and Martina Zamolo.

Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger begins screening at selected UK cinemas from September 9, including BFI IMAX London, ahead of its US cinema release on September 11 and international Disney+ release later in 2026.
