New Releases

Welcome to your New Music Friday round-up, here to serve you the biggest music and home entertainment releases of the week.

On the albums front, Olivia Rodrigo reissues her chart-topping 2023 record GUTS as GUTS (spilled); a deluxe edition featuring five additional tracks. The album, which includes Number 1 single vampire, now features unreleased song so american, plus four tracks previously available across a range of GUTS vinyl releases; obsessed, scared of my guitar, stranger and girl i've always been.

Meanwhile, breakout Amapiano star Tyla unleashes her debut studio LP TYLA. The album includes crossover smash Water and Official Afrobeats Chart Number 1 Truth Or Dare, and features collaborations with the likes of Tems, Becky G and Travis Scott

Bury-born rockers Elbow return with their 10th studio collection Audio Vertigo. Could the group, comprising Guy Garvey, Pete Turner and Craig and Mark Potter, earn their fourth Official Number 1 album with the record next week?

Elsewhere, Shakira drops her 12th LP Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (which translates to Women No Longer Cry) this week. Her first full-length project in seven years, the album includes collaborations with an eclectic roster; from Bizarrap and Cardi B to Tiësto

Returning with their first new material in 12 years, Gossip serve up their sixth record Real Power. Can the album earn Beth Ditto, Hannah Billie and Nathan Howdeshell a third UK Top 40?

Where The Wild Things Grow, English post-Britpop band Starsailor’s first release in seven years, also lands this week. To date, the group boast five UK Top 40 records.

Following their record-breaking Christmas Number 1 success last year, WHAM! reissue their first two studio albums on vinyl this week. George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley’s records, 1983 debut Fantastic and 1984’s Make It Big, both topped the Official Albums Chart upon their original releases.

Now, let’s talk singles.

After scoring his first-ever solo Top 20 with Whatever She Wants recently, Kentucky singer-songwriter Bryson Tiller returns with latest cut CALYPSO, as Sabrina Carpenter teams up with girl in red on You Need Me Now?

Olly Alexander, the UK’s 2024 Eurovision Song Contest entrant with Dizzy, hops on a brand-new remix of Benjamin Ingrosso’s kite this week.

Meanwhile, country star Kane Brown releases Fiddle In The Band, as former chart-topper Kenya Grace delivers Someone Else.

Would you care to explain why you have left Travis - Gaslight, off this list?

Ironically, this could be construed as a form of gaslighting.
