New Music Friday - this week's biggest new song, album and DVD releases, all in one place

New Music Friday Song Album Singles DVD Releases July 25 2025

Welcome to New Music Friday, your one place to discover the biggest new song, album and DVD releases.

Let's get stuck into this week's singles, shall we?

After debuting the track together at Glastonbury earlier this summer, Confidence Man and JADE spread some gossip - and you won't believe what Tina's been saying.

Ahead of their London Wembley Stadium shows this weekend, Oasis drop their live recording of Cigarettes & Alcohol from Manchester's Heaton Park. Could its release see the Number 7-peaking 1994 single re-enter the chart?

Already given the seal of approval from Elton John, who recently deemed it the 'biggest smash he's heard in years,' Lola Young delivers d£aler; the latest taste of upcoming album I'm Only F**king Myself.

Caity Baser offers up the heart-wrenchingly raw The Weight Of You (I'm Glad You Died), Tyla teams up with Wizkid on DYNAMITE and Samira works up a sweat with pulsating banger Cardio.

Fresh off the back of their first-ever Top 40 single What The Hell Just Happened?, UK Eurovision queens Remember Monday kick off a defiant new era with summer-ready break-up bop Happier. Meanwhile, Sam Smith serves us To Be Free and Dublin rock outfit SPRINTS serve up two brand-new tracks: Rage and Beg.

Fellow Dubliner CMAT unleashes her latest cut EURO-COUNTRY, Sophie Ellis-Bextor returns with Dolce Vita and Jorja Smith follows up recent Top 40 hits Crush and The Way I Love You with With You.

Now, let's talk albums.

Madonna unleashes 'lost' remix album Veronica Electronica this week. Having earned near-mythical status among fans, the record originally served as a companion project to chart-topping 1998 album Ray Of Light, before being shelved as the original LP's success eclipsed expectations.

Paul Weller collaborates with the likes of Noel Gallagher and Robert Plant on Find El Dorado; a collection of reimagined hits from The Kinks (Nobody's Fool), Bee Gees (I Started A Joke) and more.

Elsewhere, Earlestown-formed rockers The K's follow up their Top 5 2024 debut I Wonder If The World Knows? with Pretty On The Internet, 5 Seconds of Summer star Michael Clifford delivers his first solo work SIDEQUEST and Kurt Vile and Luke Roberts join forces on collaborative project classic love.

Much better overall coverage this week, thank you.

Still think you're pushing Aussie/NZ artists more than you should, but to be fair, some of them could do with a push into the UK music scene and maybe improve the overall quality of the UK charts.

Another new release today is from the exceptionally talented singer songwriter Kitty Crocker with her new song Wake Up Call. There are lots of really talented singer songwriters out there who never make the big time, although hopefully Kitty's appearance at Boardmasters next month will get more exposure for her music. She is my favourite new musical discovery of 2025 and to hear new music from her is wonderful.
