New Music Friday: Sam Fender, The Last Dinner Party, Leigh-Anne, Cat Burns and more
New Music Friday - this week's biggest new song and album releases, all in one place

Welcome to this week's New Music Friday, your one place to discover the biggest new song and album releases.
Let's get straight into the albums.
Following the success of their debut album Prelude to Ecstasy, which shot straight to Number 1 in 2024, The Last Dinner Party return with their next project, From the Pyre. With a UK and Ireland tour on the horizon, can the indie group from London make it back-to-back chart-topping records?
And another Brit who will also be looking to make it consecutive Number 1's in a row is Sam Ryder with Heartland. Gaining his first crown in 2022 with There's Nothing But Space Man, the Eurovision runner-up has his sights set on battling the chasing pack to snatch that top spot.
Official Charts spoke to Sam about his single New Man as well as the new album, which you can read here.
Australian outfit Tame Impala will be dropping their highly anticipated Deadbeat. Including hit tracks like Dracula which charted in the Top 40, they will be looking to replicate or even surpass the success of their previous albums Currents and The Slow Rush which both peaked at Number 3.
Exciting London based trio bar italia will be releasing their fifth LP Some Like It Hot. Building a strong community over a number of years, this could be the year that the band explode onto the scene with their mix of shoegaze and indie rock.
Miles Kane will be looking to secure his fourth Top 10 record with Sunlight in the Shadows. The Scouser achieved a personal best in 2023 with One Man Band which landed at Number 5.
Other releases on the horizon include Ty Dolla $ign with Tycoon, former Number 1 alumni All Time Low return with Everyone's Talking!, Gucci Mane's Episodes and the legendary Boz Scaggs with Detour.
Now, let's get cracking on with the singles.
This collaboration is one which is set to grip the country. Sam Fender has joined forces with music legend Elton John to release Talk To You. Elton will be providing piano backing to the new track, which marks the first single from the extended edition of his Number 1 record, People Watching. Get the tissues ready, this could be an emotional one.
And that's not the only exciting duo to drop a song this Friday! Bon Jovi and Robbie Williams have also teamed up with We Make It Look Easy from Bon Jovi's collaboration album, Forever (Legendary Edition). This is the final single coming out before the full album's release on October 24.
Following the news she will be releasing her debut album My Ego Told Me To in February next year, Leigh-Anne will also be dropping new single Dead and Gone this week.
5 Seconds of Summer return with their latest single Boyband. This comes after the group announced a new album arriving in November. Their initial single NOT OK shows the lads experimenting with a completely different sound and Boyband is no different.
Former Spice Girls star Melanie C delivers her fresh, spicy new track Sweat. Fans will now be hoping an official announcement for her ninth solo studio album will closely follow.
And as the nation eagerly watches her moves on the Celebrity Traitors, Cat Burns is keeping faithful (unlike her role in the game!) to her release schedule, unveiling Please Don't Hate Me this week.
