Lola Young is going nowhere, with Messy now spending a straight month at Number 1 in the UK.

With four weeks atop the Official Singles Chart, Official Charts can today confirm that this is the longest a British female solo act has spent at Number 1 in the UK consecutively since Adele’s Easy On Me logged seven weeks in 2021.

Messy is both the country’s most downloaded and most-streamed track of the past seven days, earning 5.9 million streams this week alone.

Following his internet-breaking performance at the Super Bowl LIX halftime show, Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us surges 25 places up to a brand-new peak of Number 2, becoming his highest-charting single ever in the UK. The buzzed-about diss track previously peaked at Number 6 upon its original release last year.

Several other Kendrick tracks are present in the Top 40 this week, including; luther (10), All The Stars (11) and 30 for 30 (39) all with SZA

Casting a spell over the Official Chart, Lady Gaga’s latest single Abracadabra climbs up three to Number 3. Last week, the gothic banger became Gaga’s 17th Top 10 UK hit.

Chappell Roan celebrates a third UK Top 10 hit with Pink Pony Club up 10 to a brand-new peak of Number 4, following her performance at last weekend’s Grammy’s. It’s the second Top 10 hit from The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, following HOT TO GO! (4). Further down, Red Wine Supernova also re-enters the Official Singles Chart today at Number 32.

Benson Boone also sees a similar post-Grammy’s uplift, his former Number 1 single Beautiful Things (6) rockets 27 places to return to the Top 10 for the first time in nearly eight months.

Huge congratulations are also due to US singer-songwriter Alex Warren, who earns his first Top 10 single in the UK today. Ordinary is this week’s highest new entry, debuting at Number 7. Two more singles by Warren are present in the Top 40 this week; Carry You Home (28) and Burning Down (34), which reaches a brand-new peak.

One of this year’s biggest rising stars, Doechii, finally arrives in the UK Top 10 today as DENIAL IS A RIVER bounces up seven places to Number 9.

With this, Doechii claims her first Top 10 hit, and becomes the first female rapper to earn a Top 10 single since Sexyy Red in January 2024 with Drake and SZA team-up Rich Baby Daddy. DENIAL IS A RIVER is also the first solo female rap single to reach the Top 10 since Doja Cat’s chart-topping Paint The Town Red in 2023.

Finally, BLACKPINK idol LISA charges in with a brand-new entry at Number 13. Born Again with Doja Cat and RAYE becomes her first-ever single to chart inside the UK Top 20. It also gives Doja her 18th Top 40 single and RAYE her 17th.

You are so obsessed with Gaga that you stream the other songs just for the sake of her not getting no.1

Sad.

Why is Born Again so low? It was on track for top 10!

I have been streaming All The Stars since the superbowl, glad that got so high.

Yeah, I was hoping to see 'Born Again' in the Top 10 myself. Hopefully it can eventually get there as I can see it doing very well on the radio.

'All The Stars' re-entering for the first time since July 2018 is fantastic.

Finally... the Top 5 gets a big shake-up for the first time this year.

It would've been cool to see 'Not Like Us' go all the way to the summit but I have no problem with 'Messy' holding on.

I love that 'Pink Pony Club' and 'Denial Is A River' took big jumps up the chart, but my highlight of the week is easily the debut for 'Born Again' (a genuine contender for song of the year so far).
