Lilly Wood heading for first UK Number 1 with a little help from Robin Schulz

Nili Hadida and Benjamin Cotto, AKA French-Israeli duo Lilly Wood & The Prick, look set to score their first Number 1 single this weekend with Prayer In C.

The track, which was originally released in 2010, was recently remixed by German DJ and producer Robin Schulz; the man behind Mr Probz’ mega-selling Number 1 single, Waves, earlier this year. It made its Official Singles Chart debut two weeks ago, and climbs a massive 114 places to pole position on today’s midweek Update.

Prayer In C is already a massive hit on the continent, reaching the top spot in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland.

US rockers Maroon 5 are new in at Number 2 today with new single Maps, while reining chart kings David Guetta and Sam Martin fall two places to Number 3 on today’s Official Singles Chart Update with Lovers On The Sun.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift holds firm at Number 4 with Shake It Off, and Nico And Vinz are down three to Number 5 with Am I Wong.

New Entries

Lethal Bizzle is on track for this week’s second highest new entry with Rari Workout, his collaboration with JME and Tempa T. Should it maintain it’s momentum, the track will become the three London MCs’ highest charting UK single to date.

Following the release of her new album, My Everything, Ariana Grande’s Break Free FT Zedd is new in at 23 today, while London girlgroup M.O. could make their Top 40 debut this weekend with new single Dance On My Own (33).
