kammy hits reset on who could love you like i do: Exclusive First Listen
The artist formerly known as kamille enters an unapologetic new era
South London singer, songwriter kamille is one of modern British pop's most influential voices. Already behind six Official Number 1 singles - including Little Mix's Shout Out To My Ex and David Guetta and Bebe Rexha banger I'm Good (Blue) - she's bagged BRITs, won an Ivor Novello award and got a couple of GRAMMYs on her mantelpiece. Casual.
Now, kamille "turns inwards" as she enters a bold new era as kammy. But this is so much more than a simple name change, it's a rebirth. In her words, kammy represents "a creative identity rooted in unfiltered expression, confidence and complete artistic freedom."
Brand-new single who could love you like i do, out Friday April 24, serves as the first cut released under kammy's unapologetic new identity, and she's given us an exclusive First Listen before anybody else 👀.
Here's what we can tell you.

Fans of kammy will know she's a shapeshifter who can turn her hand to pretty much any genre - from the drum and bass drop of Fred again.. team-up Kammy (like i do) to the smooth soul of Nile Rodgers collab Muscle Memory - and she ain't done experimenting.
who could love you like a do sees kammy push herself both socially and lyrically. While she's no stranger to writing a bop for a bestie (see: Little Mix's More Than Words and Told You So), this is a confident, revenge-fuelled cut levelling up that theme of friendship.
On the song, kammy says: "I wrote who could love you like i do for my best friend, after watching her heart get broken in a way I couldn’t protect her from. It’s one of the hardest feelings...seeing someone you love go through something you can’t fix, no matter how much you wish you could.
"This song became the only way I knew how to hold her, to remind her what she deserves, and to say everything I didn’t have the words for at the time."
Fancy a sneaky teaser of the lyrics? Let's get into it.

Stark, slow-burning opening percussion - not dissimilar to the iconic chords of Gotye's Somebody That I Used To Know - allows space for kammy’s vocals to set the scene. She's a storyteller, after all.
"When you're a bitch and you feel low, I'll be the one who's standing there right beside you / You're smashin' up his car window, I do the same, you know that I'll be right behind."
This is a tale of loyalty, of sticking by your 'bad b*tch' ride or die through heartbreak.
Then comes the song's explosive chorus. With a heavy, garage-influenced instrumental and ethereal backing vocals, kammy pledges her allegiance to her bestie.
"'Cause you will never be alone my friend, I promise I will take you home / And when you're alone tell me, who could love you like I do?"
It's clear this is a creative reset for kammy, who sounds more fearless and uninhibited than ever.
If this is what we can expect from kammy's upcoming project is music dying?, due later this year, we're in for a treat.
kammy's who could love you like i do is released Friday April 24.
