It looks like James Arthur's return to Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart will not be a fleeting visit.

Say You Won't Let Go, the lead single from James' upcoming second studio Back from the Edge, is holding firm at Number 1 on today’s Official Chart Update - currently 11,000 combined sales ahead of his nearest rivals The Chainsmokers with their Halsey collaboration Closer (2).

The Weeknd and Daft Punk's Starboy remains at Number 3, but with just 1,000 combined sales separating Numbers 2 and 3, the Canadian is within reach career peak on the Official Singles Chart by Friday. The Weeknd has previously hit the Top 10 with Earned It (4) and fellow Number 3 hits The Hills and Can’t Feel My Face.

Meanwhile, One Direction's Niall Horan leaps 95 places to Number 5 with his debut solo single This Town. Released last Thursday, the track debuted at Number 100 last Friday just a few hours after it release.

New entries and high climbers

Outside the Top 10, Zara Larsson's Ain't My Fault has shifted five places since last Friday to Number 18, which could make it Zara's fifth Top 20 entry. Right behind her are The Chainsmokers with their brand new single All We Know featuring Phoebe Ryan at 19.

Craig David and Sigala's Ain't Giving Up is on track to reach a new peak of 24 (up 15 places) following the release of Craig's new album Following My Intuition, and Dua Lipa's Blow Your Mind (Mwah) jumps nine spots to Number 29.

Finally, two songs could be entering the Top 40 for the first time this week; Neiked's Sexual is up four spots to 37, and Galantis' Hook N Sling collaboration Love On Me is new at 40.
