Harry Styles reacts to winning Grammy for Album of the Year with Harry's House: "This doesn't happen to people like me"
Harry picked up the biggest award of the night for his third solo album.
Harry Styles picked up the Grammy Award for Album of the Year last night for his third solo album, Harry's House.
The AOTY cateogry was predictably stacked this year, putting Harry in direct competition with Beyoncé (RENAISSANCE), Adele (30), Kendrick Lamar (Mr Morale & The Big Steppers) and ABBA (Voyage) among others.
Looking quite shocked when he was named as the recipient of the award, Harry took to the stage with Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson, the producers of the record who he's worked closely with since his 2017 self-titled debut, helping him transform from a self-serious rockstar into a genre-fluid pop superstar.
"Sh*t," he said taking to the stage. "I've been so, so inspired by every single artist in this category with me at a lot of different times in my life. I've listened to everyone in this category when I'm alone."

He continued: "I don't think [any of the nominated artists] sit in the studio and think what's going to get us one of these. This is really, really kind. I'm so grateful. This doesn't happen to people like me very often, so this is so nice. Thank you very much."
Harry's House is Harry's third solo effort since One Direction - following 2017's Harry Styles and 2019's Fine Line.
The album was preceded by its lead single As It Was, which hit Number 1 in the UK for an astounding ten weeks, helping it become the Official biggest song of 2022 in the UK.
As for Harry's House, its Number 1 debut on the Official Albums Chart last year helped Harry achieve the relatively rare Official Chart Double. Harry's House would go on to reign at the top for six non-consecutive weeks, and it was also named the Official biggest album of 2022 in the UK to boot. All in all, not bad going.

A genuine surprise considering the formidable competition in that category.. He didn't expect to win as he pobably thought more likely Beyonce(Grammy history maker) or our own Adele(never left empty handed yet) to win and not a former X Factor star...well Harry has come a long way in those last 13 odd years and can now be viewed as a serious artist.
