GRM Daily Rated Awards 2016 winners revealed

Skepta and Giggs were among the big winners at this year's event.

Skepta and Giggs were among the big winners at The KA & GRM Daily Rated Awards last night (September 7). 

The event, which took place in London celebrates the best in grime and hip-hop talent in the UK, handed out prizes including Best DJ, Best Mix Tape and Best Personality.

Skepta picked up Best Video for his Mang (Gang) visual, while Giggs was given the award for Best Artist. Both have had massive success on the Official Albums Chart this year, with Skepta's Konnichiwa album peaking at Number 2, and Giggs hitting the same spot with his breakthrough collection Landlord.

Tim Westwood's career was celebrated with the Legacy Award for his work in helping bring UK Hip hop to the masses. Watch his dedication video below: 

Performances on the night came from a mix of artists from all over the UK, including Mikill Pane's spoken word intro, Ghetts, Kano and and a set from Craig David.

Producer of the Year – Rude Kid

Personality of the Year – Poet & Vuj

Best Artist – Giggs

Best Album – Kano: Made In The Manor

Best Track – Abra Cadabra ft. Krept & Konan: Robbery 

Best Mixtape – 67:  In Skengs We Trust
