Are Fleetwood Mac teasing a reunion?

We can still hear them saying they would never break the chain...

Fleetwood Mac might – might – be teasing some kind of reunion.

On Instagram, singer Stevie Nicks and singer-guitarist Lindsey Buckingham shared adjoining lyrics from Frozen Love, a song that appears on their pre-Fleetwood Mac album Buckingham Nicks, released in 1973.

Meanwhile, drummer Mick Fleetwood posted a video of himself listening to the song.

Lindsey and Stevie first joined Fleetwood Mac in 1974, then helped to spearhead their late-1970s imperial phase, which peaked with their iconic, chart-topping 1977 album Rumours.

One of the best-selling albums of all time, Rumours has racked up a massive 1105 weeks on the Official Albums Chart. The band's enduring popularity is also illustrated by the fact they have three classic songs on the latest Official Singles Chart: Dreams (58), The Chain (76) and Everywhere (78).

The band last played live in 2019, though Lindsey wasn't part of the line-up, having left the fold a year earlier.

In 2022, the band's singer and keyboard player Christine McVie, composer of Fleetwood Mac classics including Don't Stop, Everywhere and Little Lies, died at age 79.

Stevie told Mojo later that year: "There is no chance of putting Fleetwood Mac back together in any way. Without her, it just couldn’t work."
