However, American duo Twenty One Pilots linger closely behind following the release of Breach (2). They are looking to finally claim the top spot after both 2018's Trench and 2024 release Clancy also peaked at Number 2.
Little Mix's JADE is also attempting to steal the Number 1 crown with her debut solo album THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! (3). As a member of Little Mix, JADE previously enjoyed seven Top 10 albums.
Another pop legend looking to break the Top 5 is Sophie Ellis-Bextor with her new project Perimenopop (5). This would be her third album to reach these heights, following her debut release Read My Lips (2) in 2001 and Wanderlust (4) in 2014.
English rock pioneers Led Zepplin are eyeing their 14th Top 5 success with Live EP (6). This contains four tracks, two from their Earl's Court gig in 1975 and two from their 1979 gig at Knebworth.
Welsh group Feeder have dropped a special 2025 remastered edition of their coveted album Comfort in Sound tracking for Number 10. The release originally peaked at Number 6 in 2002.
David Bowie's final four albums have also been remastered, with several live performances and remixed versions in one bumper release aiming for a Top 20 position, I Can't Give Everything Away (12). These multifaceted tracks are from 2002-2016.
Amid her blockbuster tour and a special new vinyl release, Addison Rae's debut LP Addison could shoot up 160 places this week (18). Released in June this year, the album agonisingly missed out on top spot, having to settle for Number 2.
Kent-born singer Mimi Webb is looking for her third Top 40 album in four years with Confessions (22).
The eclectic Baxter Dury is hoping to secure his first ever Top 40 album with Allbarone (26). Produced by the esteemed Paul Epworth who has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, the son of Ian Dury has adopted a new sound for the record, expanding on his already diverse palette.
Deathcore band Lorna Shore are aiming for a maiden charting album with I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me (36).
Rounding off the midweek Top 40 in style, Queen could potentially climb 12 places with Greatest Hits (37). A constant in the charts, it reached Number 1 in 1981, staying there for four weeks in a row.

Mimi Webb's 2nd album "Confessions" deserve to be in the Top 10 midweek album charts. Her three singles from her new album: "Mind Reader", "Love Language" and "You Don't Look At Me The Same" should all be in the UK Singles Charts! Mimi's new album is very good and she should deserve a spot in the Top 10!!

That’s Showbiz Baby is a great pop album and deserves to be #1. Would be great to see the UK move on from Ed and recognise there are far more exciting artists out there.

Good start for JADE! Hope she can keep it up, it’s now my aoty! Also a pleasant surprise to see Sophie Ellis-Bextor here, I really hope she can hold onto the top 5 even if I’m sadly doubtful. Shame to see Mimi Webb only at #22, Amelia had higher highs for me but Confessions is way more consistent and deserves a lot better.
