Daft Punk’s Luck Continues As They Become UK’s Most Listened To Song, Offical Streaming Chart

Daft Punk storm up the streaming charts to put an end to Bastille’s record-breaking run
Daft Punk’s Get Lucky is the new Official Streaming Chart Number 1. The song, which, was only released less than a fortnight ago, has shot up from Number 28 to the top spot, echoing it’s chart-topping success on the Official Charts and is also this week's highest climber!
Launched in May of last year, the Official Streaming Chart is the first chart which ranks audio streams from both ad-funded and subscription streaming services in the UK, to reflect the growing interest in this new generation of music services.
The Official Streaming Chart Top 5 sees each track move than a space, with Bastille’s Pompeii now at Number 2, Imagine Dragons (3), Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors (4) and Pink FT Nate Ruess’ Just Give Me A Reason at 5.
New entries, re-entries and high climbers
There are ten new entries on this week’s Top 100, with the highest new entry being Fall Out Boy with The Phoenix at Number 48, and they also enter at 87 with Alone Together and Where Did The Party Go at 100. Passenger’s Let Her Go enters at Number 54, Frank Turner’s Recovery (63), Vampire Weekend’s Diane Young (74), Daft Punk see their Harder Better Faster Stronger at 84 and One More Time at 97. Phoenix’s Entertainment enters at Number 88, and Imagine Dragons’ Amsterdam at 96.
The two re-entries this week are Foals’ Late Night at Number 73 and Biffy Clyro’s Biblical at 98.
There are three tracks that have climbed more than 20 places this week, Rudimental’s Not Giving In is the highest climber, shooting up from 82 to 61, and both Will.I.Am FT Justin Bieber’s #ThatPower (34-14) and PSY’s Gentleman (42-22) climbing 20 places.
