Charli xcx and Billie Eilish debut at Number 1 with Guess remix

Guess becomes Charli's second UK Number 1 single, and the first chart-topper of 2024 by a UK act.

It’s an xcx world, we’re just living in it. Today, Charli xcx and Billie Eilish debut at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with their Guess remix.

The startling electroclash banger becomes Charli’s second UK Number 1 single, and first as a lead artist. She originally topped the charts in 2012 as the feature on Icona Pop’s I Love It, the track that helped kickstart her career. Charli also becomes the first British artist to reach Number 1 in 2024.

Guess is the third chart-topper for Billie, joining No Time To Die (2021) and What Was I Made For? (2023).

For further proof that brat has seen Charli reach unprecedented heights of commercial success (finally letting the mainstream catch up to her), Apple climbs into the Top 10 today (8), becoming her eighth Top 10 hit. Also rising to a new peak today, 360 (11) proves that Charli truly is your favourite reference, baby.

Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe! enjoys a third week in the Top 3, and as she celebrates her first UK Number 1 album today, two tracks from The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess reach new peaks; HOT TO GO! (15) and Red Wine Supernova (32).

A huge congrats is due to rising hip-hop singer Jordan Adetunji, who gains his first UK Top 10 single today with KEHLANI (9). The track received a massive boost thanks to the release of a new remix featuring the actual Kehlani herself.

As audiences up and down the country continue to flock to see Deadpool & Wolverine, *NSYNC’s 2000 hit Bye Bye Bye re-enters the Top 20 for the first time in 24 years after rocketing 18 places (12), the song originally reached Number 3 in the UK – read more about that here. 

Adam Port, Stryv & Keinemusik reach a new peak with Move (16), while Teddy Swims is up one on the emotional The Door (23) and Sonny Fodera, Jazzy & D.O.D crash into the Top 40 with new collaboration Somedays (31).

Indian rapper HANUMANKIND and producer Kalmi score a debut inside the Top 40 with Big Dawgs (35), the first Official Singles Chart entry for both acts.

And finally, not content with swiping Number 1, Billie Eilish’s WILDFLOWER enters the Top 40 for the first time (37), it becomes the fourth Top 40 hit from her acclaimed third album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT.
