BRITs 2018: Dua Lipa, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Stormzy confirmed to perform
The performers for the 2018 BRIT Awards have been announced - and they're huge.
Chart toppers Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Sam Smith and Stormzy were the first acts confirmed, with Ed and Stormzy taking to the stage for the second year in a row.
Ed Sheeran debuted the remix of Shape of You at the 2017 ceremony, with Stormzy jumping on the track to the surprise of the audience. Meanwhile, 2018 will mark Sam Smith's first BRITs live performance in three years.
Meanwhile, Foo Fighters, Rita Ora, BRITs Critics' Choice winner Jorja Smith and Justin Timberlake have also been confirmed to perform at the ceremony, which takes place at London's O2 Arena on February 21.
The BRITs described the British performers as "UK heavyweights", and they're not kidding: Ed Sheeran scored the most streamed song ever with Shape of You in 2017, topping the Official Albums Chart for 18 weeks. He has also spent a combined 16 weeks at Number 1 this year.
Meanwhile, Sam Smith's Too Good at Goodbyes became his sixth UK Number 1 single, and Dua Lipa scooped the first UK Number 1 single by a female soloist in nearly two years with New Rules. Dua leads the nominations for 2018 with five. View the full list here.
Stormzy also made his mark; his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer was the first grime album to peak at Number 1, and Rita Ora has been on a highly successful comeback trail over the past year, scoring three Top 10 singles over the past year including Your Song and Anywhere.
