hate that i made you love me, the lead single from her upcoming album petal, due July 31, earns Ariana an eighth UK Number 1 single. The track, written alongside longtime collaborator Max Martin, joins Problem ft. Iggy Azalea, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj team-up Bang Bangthank u, next7 ringsbreak up with your girlfriend, i'm bored and Positions in her tally of chart-toppers. 

The achievement sees Ari hop up the list of acts with the most UK Number 1 singles, now drawing level with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Oasis and The Rolling Stones.

As a result, after five consecutive weeks at the summit, and 13 weeks overall, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s Rein Me In settles for Number 2.

SIENNA SPIRO’s The Devil Wears Prada 2 tune Material Lover continues its steady ascent to pierce the Top 20 for the first time, strutting up two (20). 

LA-based Israeli rockers Temper City reach new heights with viral debut smash Self Aware. After first entering the Singles Chart in April, its rapid rise sees it claim a new Number 29 peak this week, up five.

As I said if Ariana didn't do it then Taylor Swift would 100%next Friday...Either way Bryan Adams long chart topping record is still safe ...Taylor Swift will be 1 next week so Ariana can enjoy her brief time at the top and the Dean/ Fender juggernaut to have it's wheels come off.

Congratulations to Ariana Grande on her eighth #1 in the UK! Not my favourite of her lead singles, but it's still good to have her back. :) 

Hopefully this means 'Rein Me In' is finally done at the summit.
