Who is Jacob Alon?
Jacob Alon is a Scottish singer-songwriter whose music blurs the line between confession and fable, weaving queer storytelling with the intimacy of folk and the shimmer of dream-pop.
Growing up in Dunfermline, they shaped their voice in solitude, teaching themselves instruments, writing in journals, and sketching songs that carried both the weight of isolation and the spark of imagination. Their debut single Fairy in a Bottle introduced Alon as something otherworldly: a barefoot performer draped in gold feathers, delivering verses that felt equal parts spell and lament. Since then, songs like Confession, Liquid Gold 25, and Don’t Fall Asleep have deepened their reputation for lyrical candor and mythic vulnerability, exploring love, loss, and identity with unflinching tenderness.
In September 2025 it was announced that Jacob Alon's album In Limerence was nominated for the Mercury Prize Album of the Year 2025.
