LINKIN PARK

Linkin Park are an American nu-metal rock band, originally formed in 1996, with members Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, Brad Deison, Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell and Mike Wakefield.

Their 2000 debut album, Hybrid Theory, was notable for the fusing of nu-metal and rap, essentially creating a new sub-genre and turning the band (Bennington especially) into global stars. They released seven studio albums together, until Bennington's death in 2017 forced the band into hiatus.

They re-emerged in 2023, and in 2024 announced that female vocalist Emily Armstrong as the de-facto new singer for the group. On 22 November 2024, From Zero - their first album featuring the new line-up, and first album release since Bennington's passing - landed straight in at Number 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart. Its lead single The Emptiness Machine debuted at Number 4 two months earlier, their highest ever UK chart position and sixth Top 10 which they achieved with What I've Done in 2007.
