ROYSTON CLUB

Who are the Royston Club?

Hailing from Wrexham, North Wales, The Royston Club have carved out a space as one of the UK’s most exciting indie rock bands, blending jangling guitars, sing-along choruses, and lyrics that cut straight to the heart. Made up of school friends Tom Faithfull (vocals/guitar), Ben Matthias (lead guitar/songwriter), Dave Tute (bass), and Sam Jones (drums), the group have built a reputation for energetic live performances and infectious, hook-driven songwriting.

After bursting onto the scene with a string of self-released singles, they hit a major milestone in 2023 with their debut album Shaking Hips and Crashing Cars. The record captured the rush of youth — equal parts chaos and charm — and landed them a Top 20 spot on the Official UK Albums Chart, with every physical copy selling out. Touring relentlessly, the band sold out headline shows from London’s KOKO to Manchester’s O2 Ritz, while also lighting up festival stages across the UK.

In 2025, The Royston Club returned with their sophomore album, Songs for the Spine, produced by Rich Turvey (known for his work with Blossoms and Courteeners). The album takes their sound into sharper focus, with shimmering guitar-pop melodies wrapped around heartfelt storytelling. Tracks like Shivers, Cariad, and The Patch Where Nothing Grows have become instant crowd favorites, marking the band’s evolution from teenage upstarts to seasoned songsmiths.
