From The Pyre by The Last Dinner Party is the second studio album by the British rock band that was released on 17 October 2025 through Island Records.
The London five-piece headed into the studio in late 2024 with Grammy Award winning producer Markus Dravs (Wolf Alice, Florence & The Machine, Bjork) to start work on the follow-up to their number 1 debut album, 2023’s Prelude to Ecstasy. From The Pyre is the sound of a band having a lot of fun rather than feeling any innate pressure to follow-up on what was an explosively successful debut record. It’s also the sound of a young band developing and maturing their songwriting together, as tight a unit as the endless months out on the road pay testament to.
Their debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy, entered the UK Official Albums Chart at Number 1, with the biggest opening week of any band in nine years, since Years & Years in 2015. The Last Dinner Party also delivered the fastest-selling vinyl debut of any group this century, surpassing Wet Leg by selling more than 14,000 units on vinyl in its first week on sale. No surprise then that Official Charts confirmed Prelude To Ecstasy to be the best-selling vinyl debut release of 2024.
