The Boy Who Played The Harp by Dave is the third studio album by the British rapper, released on 24 October 2025 through NEIGHBOURHOOD RECORDINGS.
Widely regarded as the most compelling storyteller of his generation, Dave’s third studio album stands as a bold and deeply significant coming-of-age record. Through breathtaking sonics and infectious rhythms; the album sees Dave confront an array of complex themes, including love, relationships, faith and the current state of the world.
Across the 10 tracks, Dave teams up with a stellar lineup of collaborators including GRAMMY award-winning artist Tems (Raindance), UK rap legend Kano (Chapter 16), and rising UK star Jim Legxacy (No Weapons) - whose track ‘3x’ Dave featured on earlier this year. He also reunites with long-time collaborator James Blake (History & Selfish), who previously featured on ‘Both Sides of A Smile’ from Dave’s critically acclaimed, chart-topping sophomore album ‘We’re All Alone In This Together’.
A seasoned producer, having honed his production talents since 2019’s decade-defining, platinum-selling Psychodrama, Dave produces or co-produces 9 of the 10 tracks on this album, further highlighting his unmatched artistry and musical depth. Long-time fans are also treated to the third installment of his beloved fan-favourite birthday freestyles on My 27th Birthday, which first began with My 19th Birthday on the Game Over EP’.
On 31st October 2025, Dave became the first British rap act to debut three albums at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart. His third studio record The Boy Who Played The Harp landed straight in at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, securing the Brixton-born star a hat-trick of chart-toppers, joining 2019’s PSYCHODRAMA and We’re All Alone In This Together.
According to Official Charts data, The Boy Who Played The Harp notched up a massive 73,800 UK chart sales over the past seven days, making it the second biggest opening week for a British album this year.
Also topping the very same week’s Official Vinyl Albums Chart, The Boy Who Played The Harp was named the fastest-selling rap album on vinyl this century, shifting 15,500 copies on vinyl over seven days.
