... more than half the songs here already charted on a previous Year-End list. Idk if it was because the charts were relatively uneventful in 2023 so more people just went back to listen to classics from previous years or decades. 

Nonetheless, there were definitely good moments in hit music over the past year. Very happy to see 'Tattoo' making the list and I'm delighted it won the most recent Eurovision. Lizzy McAlpine making a Top 40 appearance is fantastic and I'm rooting for her to get another hit. Also 'People' being as high as #10 is amazing to see as it's one of my favourite Afrobeats songs ever! 

Looking forward to seeing what lies ahead for the UK charts in 2024! 😊
